Mt. Fuji Day Hike

Went with a tour group from the American Club Women's Group today to Mt. Fuji.  It is an active volcano and is very famous here in Japan.  It's last eruption was over 300 years ago.  It was a cross between walking on the moon and being in a Dr. Seuss book.  We started out at station 5 and hiked to station 6 (there are 10 stations to the summit) then trekked to a huge crater on the volcano.  It made me kind of want to attempt the full climb next Summer.  I'm sure the moment will pass!

An interesting Chinese man we met along the way.  He wanted us to  take his picture and he had such great poses that I just had to take one with him.

My favorite shot of the day with my favorite gal.

How wierd they only had you walk one station? What was the point of that? Did you know that ahead of time? Hmmmmm.
