My handsome Cole was baptized today here in Tokyo. We went back and forth about waiting to do it in Utah this Summer but we felt compelled to have it here in our home ward amongst the great people we go to church with. He would have been one of many in Utah but today, here in Japan, he was the main attraction. I was amazed to see so many people stay after church for another hour to support our family. I was overwhelmed with love and am grateful for the wonderful Ward we have here in Japan.
The Nelson Family. Sadly they are moving back to the US tomorrow! Brett gave a talk on baptism today and captured Cole's attention with a story about cinnamon bears.
The Heaton Family. Kevin spoke to Cole about the Holy Ghost. This adorable family is our home away from home.
West Family. Theresa was an angel and helped me with Cole's announcements. She is also his scout leader and is such a wonderful person and friend.
The kids sang 'When I was Baptized'. Ava was a little shy but Cole and Savannah were fantastic.

Congrats Cole! Amazing how fast time flies! 8 years old and baptized.. wow! It looks like all of these people are so wonderful Jen, and really are your family away from home! Congrats! You are a beautiful family!
Congratulations Cole! I wish I could have been there. You are growing up so much and looking more and more like a Police Man. I feel horrible that I was unable to be there for your very important day. Ryan and Jen, hats off to you guys and the wonderfull way you are raising your family. Savi and Ava you both looked so beautiful in your pretty dresses. I love and miss you guys so much.

congrats, cole! we are so proud of you. i loved seeing all the pictures- next best thing to being there. i totally understand & respect your decision, though, i would've done the same thing. looks like you guys have an amazing support group out there. it was fun to see pictures of some of the friends and families you have out there.
So sad we weren't there. What a great day and great memory for Cole. I can't believe he's eight! He's so handsome and the girls are beautiful. I'm glad it was perfect.

now i'm super sad! i hate that i'm not a part of these major events! i know, i'm self-centered. sorry. ok, anyway, what a perfect day for you guys. you are so lucky to have people that love you all over the world. there's lots of perks to this ex-pat stuff. i love you. congrats cole, you rock!!!!

Finally we get so see all these wonderful pics! We are at Nick and Eve"s and they let us see your fun fun blog (I think that is what it is). Anyway, Cole hope you know how much we love and how proud of you we are. Hope you got our small remembrance. Girls, you are absolutely beautiful and cannot believe how much you are growing up. Ry and Jen, please know always our absence of somments is due only to our ignorance of electronic gizmos. You are doing wonderful things there and make us proud. Miss you.
